The Robert Jones for Georgia PSC campaign greatly appreciates all those wishing to contribute.
Here is a bit about Campaign Financing laws and my stance on donations.
Contributions or gifts to the Robert Jones for Georgia PSC are not tax deductible.
Georgia law requires that a best effort be made to collect and report your name, mailing address, and the occupation of all donors. If you can give more than $100, then I need to also ask for the name of your employer. The most you can donate is $8,400, which will go a long way in covering the high campaign cost of print, digital and video marketing. If that's you, then rest assured in knowing that every penny will be diligently used to drive voter engagement in support of getting Robert elected.
Unlike some current Georgia PSC Commissioners, I will graciously return any donations received from:
Any employee of Georgia Power, The Southern Company or it's subsidiary affilliates,
Any employee of a regulated utility company operating in Georgia, or
Any foreign national (legally prohibited),
Donations from these organizations are sincerely appreciated, however they will be asked to redirect their returned contribution toward assistance of low-income families and senior citizens that need support in paying their utility bills. The Campaign has a list of these agencies which is available for the asking.
